Accessibility

We aim for WCAG 2.1 level AA across the whole website.

Updated 9 October 2026 (draft)

What we've done

  • Everything works with a keyboard, and focus is always visible.
  • Text colours have at least 4.5:1 contrast with the background.
  • Every form field has a label, and messages are announced by screen readers.
  • The animation on the home page has a text description, pauses when it's not visible, and stands still if you've turned off motion in your operating system.
  • The site works on phones without horizontal scrolling, and text can be zoomed to 200%.

What we know isn't good enough

  • The site hasn't been tested by an external auditor or with every screen reader yet.
  • The code examples in the AI guide are wide and need horizontal scrolling on small screens.
